2020 was a scary year. But from this comes compelling artwork that also highlights hope.
The Arlington Artists Alliance’s juried gallery, Gallery Underground, will feature Dreams and Nightmares from February 1 – 26, 2021, a fascinating all-media national juried exhibition. Artists were tasked with interpreting the theme, from the beautiful and sublime to the dark and twisted.
Juried by DC sculptor Emily Francisco, the works chosen from around the country range from dreamy and figurative abstracts and humorous daydreams, to eerie landscapes and depictions of terrifying, living-nightmare psychotic episodes.
In our Main Gallery are new works by our members in all themes, in media including oil, acrylic, pastel, watermedia, sculpture, glass, ceramics, wood and metalwork There will be no opening reception due to Covid-19 guidelines, but the work can be seen on the walls of the gallery from 10am-6pm Monday through Friday.
