Equity in Action: Building Community Dialogue
Featuring: Privilege to Progress
The National Landing BID is a proud partner of Arlington County's Dialogues on Race and Equity (DRE) program. As a DRE partner, thought leader and community convener, we are launching a new series, Equity in Action: Building Community Dialogue.
Equity in Action is a free community educational program that is designed to encourage and drive difficult conversations around race and equity in National Landing, across the greater region and the globe.
This quarterly series will kick off on Thursday, March 4 at 5:00PM with Melissa DePino and Michelle Saahene, co-founders of Privilege to Progress, the national movement to desegregate the public conversation about race and racism.
During this initial program, Michelle and Melissa will share their story which began with their viral video of the two black men who were unjustly arrested at a Philadelphia Starbucks in 2018. As speakers and conversation starters, they will lead an open and honest dialogue with the community. It is our hope that participants leave the conversation with the inspiration and tools to effect change in their everyday lives.
We invite all National Landing community and business members to register to attend this free virtual event. #ShowUp
