Enjoy the return of Jazz at Metropolitan Park with a free concert series co-presented by the DC Jazz Festival and National Landing BID. Refresh with onsite vendors including Toby’s Homemade Ice Cream and Taqueria Xochi, plus free samples from Mocktail Club—non-alcoholic beverages inspired by travel destinations. Take part in artist-led Studio Sessions curated by Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington while enjoying the music. Visit businesses around Met Park to pack a picnic or sit down for a meal after the show.
May 7: The JoGo Project (Jazz Meets Go-Go)
The JoGo Project is a 2x WAMMIE Award-winning jazz and go-go band rom Washington, D.C. created by saxophonist Elijah Jamal Balbed in 2014. Now celebrating 12 years of JoGo, the band has become a consisten force in the DMV area, having performed at Blues Alley, Kennedy Center, and DC Jazz Festival, and recently expanding to the Mid-Atlantic and Southern U.S. They maintain a regular performance schedule, as well as doing workshops and masterclasses for schools - an opportunity to pass down the knowledge learned from years of performing as well as giving students something to look up ot and be inspired by.

Join Artist David Ignacio as he leads automatic and abstract painting while listening to the varying sounds of jazz music. Led by David Ignacio, recent Resident Artist at MoCA Arlington's main museum.
