Gallery Underground presents Wish You Were Here, a solo show by Medina Roberts. In a series of large-scale paintings depicting DC’s City Center, are included the words “Wish You Were Here” — painted in dedication to Syd Barrett, the original front man of Pink Floyd, who, in 1968, left the group after his mental and physical health struggles due to heavy drug use. The artist will donate a portion of her sales from this show to the Addiction Policy and Practice Program at the Georgetown University Master of Science department.

The opening reception for Wish You Were Here is on Friday, February 2nd from 5-7 pm, with the public invited to attend. This free event includes live music, drinks by Arlington Artists Alliance, light fare, and the opportunity to meet the artist. The gallery is family-friendly and handicapped accessible.
