The Friends of Mount Vernon Trail will be improving the trail near Four Mile Run. Volunteers will remove vegetation growing into the trail and clean up storm damage.
Volunteers may perform some of the following work:
- Using pruners and loppers to cut vegetation
- Using hand saws to cut tree branches
- Hauling away vegetation and fallen tree branches
- Picking up trash
What to Bring:
- Water
- Gloves (We'll have some to borrow)
- Pruners or loppers (We'll have some to borrow)
- Long sleeves and long pants
Where to Meet:
The work area is on the Mount Vernon Trail by the Old Stone Bridge at the intersection of Alexandria Ave and W Boulevard Drive. See the image below for the meeting location.
