The National Landing BID is proud to present our next Equity in Action event: Creating Safe Spaces. As we continue to work towards building a more equitable district and close out Pride Month celebrations, "Creating Safe Spaces" will address the importance of the business community and its executives in defining, shaping and defending safe spaces for LGBTQ+ community members beyond June.
This virtual event will be filmed live at Freddie's Beach Bar, Northern Virginia's only LGBTQ+, straight friendly restaurant and bar. The conversation will feature a panel of local business leaders representing the LGBTQ+ community, including Freddie Lutz, owner of Freddie's Beach Bar and Federico Ristorante Italiano, Lisa Kohn, Senior Manager, Public Policy, Amazon, and Morgen Hunt, President of Horizon Paramedical LLC and President of the Equality Chamber of Commerce. The panel will be moderated by local media personality, Tommy McFly (NBC4) and will include an audience Q&A.
Pre-registration is required to attend the panel virtually. Submit your questions in advance to events@nationallanding.org.
Equity in Action is a free community educational program launched by the National Landing BID in 2021 that is designed to encourage and drive conversations around equity in National Landing, across the greater region and the globe.
