If you're interested in transportation, planning, and design, join WalkArlington and Arlington County's Vision Zero Program Manager Christine Baker on a guided walk in National Landing. She'll explain a variety of improvements the County has made to this busy corridor to increase safety for all people.
Since 2017, Baker has worked as a principal planner within the Engineering Design Section of Arlington County's Transportation Engineering and Operations Bureau. In 2022, she began managing Arlington County's Vision Zero transportation safety program.
Vision Zero is an international movement that employs a multidisciplinary approach to achieving a goal of zero transportation-related deaths. It aims to achieve this goal through system-wide improvements instead of reactive responses to traffic deaths. Arlington County joined the Vision Zero Network in summer 2019 and hopes to achieve its goals by 2030.
