Description
Michele de la Menardiere is an abstract painter based in San Francisco, California. She exhibits her work throughout the U.S. and abroad. In 2016, her art was selected for exhibition at Superbowl City in San Francisco, CA. Her work is also part of the U.S. State Department’s Art in Embassies Program. Through this program she exhibited at the U.S. Embassy in Algeria and the U.S. Consulate in Kosovo, and her paintings were purchased for the permanent collection at the U.S. Embassy in Burkina Faso. Michele’s art has been featured in 3 large-scale public art installations in the Washington, DC area: Emerge, an installation of 19 painting reproductions at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Crystal City, Virginia (2009-2019); Nascent Flight, an artwalk sponsored by The DC Commission for the Art and Humanities, Washington, DC (2007-2010); and Art Underground, an installation of two painting reproductions in the Crystal City Metro station, Crystal City, Virginia (2014-present).
