Notice - Road Closures on Sunday, October 30th
Good Afternoon:
The Marine Corps Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, October 30th and will close a number of area roads and impact how area residents, guests, and workers access and leave garage and parking facilities during the event (between the hours of 3:30 AM and 6:00 PM). Please pass along and post the Road Closure Notification Document to ensure that everyone can plan accordingly. The document includes information on how individual properties' garages and driveways are impacted and how to access them. Detailed maps are also included to provide further clarity.
Note - the race route has changed slightly this year and now includes a closure of Crystal Drive south of 23rd Street S.

Roadway Closures / Limited Access
Marine Corps Marathon - Sunday, October 30th, 2016
- 3:30am to 6:00pm - Route 110 from I-66 to Route 1
- 7:00am to 4:00pm - Boundary Channel Drive from Long Bridge Drive to Pentagon North Parking
- 7:00am to 4:00pm - Long Bridge Drive from 12th Street to Boundary Channel Drive
- 7:00am to 3:00pm - 10th Street S., 6th Street S., and S. Ball street East of Long Bridge Drive
- 7:00am to 2:00pm - HOV lanes from 14th Street SW to HOV ramp at S. Eads Street
- 5:00am to 4:00pm - South Eads Street from South Rotary Road to Army Navy Drive
- 7:00am to 4:00pm - Army Navy Drive from S. Eads Street to 12th Street
- 7:00am to 4:00pm - 12th Street from Army Navy Drive to Crystal Drive
- 7:00am to 4:00pm - Crystal Drive from 12th Street to 26th Street
- Access to garage parking at 241 18th Street to be maintained
- Access to garage parking entrance from 20th Street at 220 Twentieth Street to be maintained
- Access to garage parking at 1801, 1901, and 1851 S. Bell Streets via 20th Street at the Crystal City Marriott only

- On-Street Parking on associated road closures will be prohibited during the event per Arlington County Police Department on-site posted signage
Impacted Garage Facilities
220 Twentieth Street (220 20th Street): Garage access to 220 20th Street will not be permitted from Crystal Drive throughout the duration of the closer period. Residents can park in the retail parking garage accessible from 20th Street.
Airport Plaza 1 & 2 (2711 & 2611 Jefferson Davis Highway): Access to garages and driveway entrances for these facilities will be maintained. All employees, tenants, and visitors, however, should be informed of the surrounding closures as they may affect the most direct travel routes.
Boeing Building (608 S. Ball Street): Access restrictions will be in place for garage and driveway entrances/exits to this facility for the duration of the race.
Camden Apartments (3535 S. Ball Street): Access to garages and driveway entrances for these facilities will be maintained. All employees, tenants, and visitors, however, should be informed of the surrounding closures as they may affect the most direct travel routes.
Century Buildings (2450 Crystal Drive and 2461 S. Clark Street): Access to the garage entrances/exits onto Crystal Drive will not be permitted for the duration of the road closure. Access to the facility via S. Clark Street or 23rd Street garage entrances will be maintained.
Concord Luxury Residences (2600 Crystal Drive): Access to garages and driveway entrances for these facilities will be maintained. All employees, tenants, and visitors, however, should be informed of the surrounding closures as they may affect the most direct travel routes.
Courtyard by Marriott (2899 Jefferson Davis Highway): Access to garages and driveway entrances for these facilities will be maintained. All employees, tenants, and visitors, however, should be informed of the surrounding closures as they may affect the most direct travel routes.
CrossFit South Arlington (606 S. Ball Street): Access restrictions will be in place for on-street parking serving this facility for the duration of the race.
Crowne Plaza Hotel: Access to the garage entrances/exits onto Crystal Drive will not be permitted for the duration of the road closure. Access to the facility via the S. Clark Street driveway entrance will be permitted. For entry to the facility, please plan to approach via 15th Street from the west and await permission from on-site ACPD officers for access to 14th Road.
Crystal Gateway 1, 2, 3, and 4 (1235, 1225, 1215 S. Clark Street and 200 12th Street): Access to the garage entrances/exits onto Crystal Drive will not be permitted for the duration of the road closure. Access to the facility via the S. Clark Street driveway entrance will be permitted. For entry to the facility, please plan to approach via 15th Street from the west and await permission from on-site ACPD officers for access to 14th Road.
Crystal Gateway Condominiums (1300 Crystal Drive): Access to the garage entrances/exits onto Crystal Drive and 12th Street will not be permitted for the duration of the road closure. Access to the facility via the S. Clark Street driveway entrance will be permitted. For entry to the facility, please plan to approach via 15th Street from the west and await permission from on-site ACPD officers for access to 14th Road.
Crystal Gateway North (201 12th Street): Access restrictions will be in place for garage and driveway entrances/exits to this facility for the duration of the race.
Crystal Mall Buildings (1801, 1851, and 1901 S. Bell Street): Access to the garage entrance from 18th Street will not be permitted. Access to garages and driveway entrances will only be available from 20th Street at the Crystal City Marriott. All employees, tenants, and visitors should be informed of the surrounding closures as they may affect the most direct travel routes.
Crystal Park 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 (2011, 2121, 2231, 2345, and 2451 Crystal Drive): Access to the garage entrance at 2011 Crystal Drive will not be permitted for the duration of the road closure. Access to the facility via the 2345 Crystal Drive garage or the rear access alley garage entrance from 26th Street S. will be maintained. The surface driveway in front of 2121 and 2345 Crystal Drive will also be closed and access including parking restricted for the duration of the road closure.
Crystal Place Apartments and Crystal Park Condominiums (1801 and 1805 Crystal Drive): Access to garage and driveway entrances/exits along Crystal Drive will not be permitted for the duration of the road closure. Access to the facility via the rear alley (entrance at 26th and Crystal Drive) will be maintained.
Crystal Plaza Apartments (2111 Jefferson Davis Highway): Access to garages and driveway entrances for this property will be maintained. All employees, tenants, and visitors, however, should be informed of the surrounding closures as they may affect the most direct travel routes.
Crystal Plaza Buildings (2100 & 2200 Crystal Drive; 2001 Jefferson Davis Highway; 2221 S. Clark Street; and the Crystal City Shops @2100 & @2200): Access to the garage entrances and the loading dock along Crystal Drive (2100 and 2200 Crystal Drive) will not be permitted for the duration of the road closure. Access to these facilities via 20th, 23rd, and S. Clark Streets will be maintained.
Crystal Square Apartments (1515 Jefferson Davis Highway): Access to garage and driveway entrances along Crystal Drive will not be permitted for the duration of the event. Access to the facility via S. Clark Street, 15th Street, and 18th Street garage entrances will be maintained.
Crystal Square Buildings (1550 & 1750 Crystal Drive; 251 & 241 18th Street; and Crystal City Shops @1750): Garage and driveway entrances along Crystal Drive will not be accessible for the duration of the event. Access to the facility via S. Clark Street, 15th Street, and 18th Street garage entrances will be maintained.
Doubletree Hotel (300 Army Navy Drive): Parking access from Army Navy Drive will not be permitted for the duration of the road closure. Access to the facility via access points from S. Eads Street to 11th Street will be maintained.
Eclipse on Center Park Condominiums (3600 S. Glebe Road): Access to garages and driveway entrances for these facilities will be maintained. All employees, tenants, and visitors, however, should be informed of the surrounding closures as they may affect the most direct travel routes.
Hilton Crystal City (2399 Jefferson Davis Highway): Access to garages and driveway entrances for these facilities will be maintained. All employees, tenants, and visitors, however, should be informed of the surrounding closures as they may affect the most direct travel routes.
Hyatt Regency Hotel (2799 Jefferson Davis Highway): Access to garages and driveway entrances for these facilities will be maintained. All employees, tenants, and visitors, however, should be informed of the surrounding closures as they may affect the most direct travel routes.
1400 Crystal Drive: Access to the garage entrances/exits onto Crystal Drive will not be permitted for the duration of the road closure. Access to the facility via the S. Clark Street driveway entrance will be permitted. For entry to the facility, please plan to approach via 15th Street from the west and await permission from on-site ACPD officers for access to 14th Road.
Jefferson Plaza 2 (1421 Jefferson Davis Highway): Access to the garage entrances/exits onto Crystal Drive will not be permitted for the duration of the road closure. Access to the facility via the S. Clark Street driveway entrance will be permitted. For entry to the facility, please plan to approach via 15th Street from the west and await permission from on-site ACPD officers for access to 14th Road.
Long Bridge Park (475 Long Bridge Drive): Access restrictions will be in place for driveway entrances/exits to this facility for the duration of the road closure.
Marriott Capital View Hotels - Renaissance and Residences Inn (2800 South Potomac Avenue & 2850 South Potomac Avenue): Access to garages and driveway entrances for these facilities will be maintained. All employees, tenants, and visitors, however, should be informed of the surrounding closures as they may affect the most direct travel routes.
North Tract Lofts (305 10th Street): Access restrictions will be in place for garage and driveway entrances/exits to this facility for the duration of the race.
One & Two Potomac Yard (2777 Crystal Drive): Access to garages and driveway entrances for these facilities will be maintained. All employees, tenants, and visitors, however, should be informed of the surrounding closures as they may affect the most direct travel routes.
Polk & Taylor Buildings (2521 S. Clark Street & 2530 Crystal Drive): Access to the garage entrances/exits onto Crystal Drive will not be permitted for the duration of the road closure. Access to the facility via S. Clark Street or 23rd Street garage entrances will be maintained.
Potomac Gateway (2800 & 2900 Crystal Drive): Access to garages and driveway entrances for these facilities will be maintained. All employees, tenants, and visitors, however, should be informed of the surrounding closures as they may affect the most direct travel routes.
Public Storage (309 Long Bridge Drive): Access restrictions will be in place for garage and driveway entrances/exits to this facility for the duration of the race.
Self Storage Plus (605 S. Ball Street): Access restrictions will be in place for garage and driveway entrances/exits to this facility for the duration of the race.
Waterford House (1200 Crystal Drive): Access to the garage entrances/exits onto Crystal Drive and 12th Street will not be permitted for the duration of the road closure. Access to the facility via the S. Clark Street driveway entrance will be permitted. For entry to the facility, please plan to approach via 15th Street from the west and await permission from on-site ACPD officers for access to 14th Road.
Water Park Towers (Residents of 1501 and 1505 Crystal Drive): Access restrictions will be in place for garage and driveway entrances/exits to this facility for the duration of the race.
WeWork/WeLive (2221 S. Clark Street): The garage entrance on 23rd Street will not be affected. All residents, employees, tenants, and visitors, however, should be informed of the surrounding closures as they may affect the most direct travel route to this facility.
