Registration Opens for Wednesday Night Spins

Weekly Parking Garage Bicycle Race Returns to Crystal City

Crystal City (Arlington, VA) – Crystal City’s Wednesday Night Spins garage bicycle race series is back this March with a new location, more competition, adrenaline, and speed. Registration is now open for the popular race series hosted by the Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID) in partnership with Vornado/Charles E. Smith and In The Crosshairs.

The Wednesday Night Spins series challenges amateur and elite cyclists alike to compete for weekly prizes and points in pursuit of the Series Title. Those too timid for the saddle can still get in on the fun by watching the action and grabbing a drink at the wine and beer garden with select offerings from the Crystal City Wine Shop.

For additional entertainment value, the series closes with a fun and often comical cargo bike race as well as an even higher level of adrenaline with the fixed gear only race. New this year, Wednesday Night Spins will also host a Federal Employee versus Contractor race for major bragging rights in the nation’s capital.

Wednesday Spins aims to both support the cycling community by offering a weather-proof race option during an otherwise quiet period in the local race calendar, while also showcasing Crystal City’s plentiful parking supply.

To register or for additional information about the series, please visit www.crystalcity.org.
