Spark Conscience: Power Purge & Shred Returns Tomorrow

Crystal City (Arlington, VA) – Don't forget to bring your recyclables and celebrate Earth Day’s 45th Anniversary at the Crystal City Business Improvement District’s (BID) annual Power Purge & Shred tomorrow, April 22nd from 7 AM to 7 PM. The collaboration among CEA, Vornado/Charles E. Smith, and the eCyclers division of the Kane Company provides an opportunity for Crystal City residents and workers to drop off everything from batteries, desktop computers and laptops, to TVs, monitor and microwaves. This year, help people in need by donating an old bike to Bikes For The World and receive a new LED light bulb from Arlington Initiative to Rethink Energy (AIRE) when recycling an old incandescent bulb at the event.  (Limit one per person, and while supplies last). Snap a photo of your purged goods and post on Twitter or Instagram with #PowerPurge and a clever goodbye quote and our favorite will win a gift certificate to a free class at TechShop.
