SPARK FRENZY: TROPICAL STORM RETURNS TO CRYSTAL CITY

Crystal City (Arlington, VA) – Kickoff the Fall season and get outdoors for Floral Frenzy’s Tropical Storm, presented by the Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID) in partnership with Vornado/Charles E. Smith. Tropical Storm allows community residents and workers to rescue tropical ferns and other plants that would otherwise be thrown into the compost pile. Once brought inside, these tropicals can thrive all-year long in a home or office.

“Tropical Storm is a great way for Crystal City residents and workers to adopt plants and support sustainable landscaping practices within our community,” said Crystal City BID CEO/President, Angela Fox. “The Floral Frenzy program provides hundreds of plants for re-use annually while celebrating Crystal City's beautifully landscaped streetscapes and open spaces.”

Stop by the Crystal City FreshFarm Farmers Market on Tuesday, October 13th at 3:00 PM (sharp – no plants to be given away before that time) to claim your green prize, available while supplies last.

Tropical Storm is one of several green-themed events that are part of the make up the Crystal City BID’s Crystal Green Program. For more information on Crystal Green and other Crystal City events, visit www.crystalcity.org.
