SPARK MOVEMENT: A TALE OF TWO CITIES COMES TO CRYSTAL CITY

Synetic Theater presents Obie Award-Winning Play

from May 13 through June 21, 2015

Crystal City (Arlington, VA) - Synetic Theater will produce Everett Quinton’s Obie Award-Winning play, A Tale of Two Cities, from May 13 through June 21, 2015, directed by Studio Theatre’s producing director Serge Seiden.

Called “always fascinating” by The New York Times, A Tale of Two Cities is an irreverent comedy that tells the story of a drag queen named Jerry (Synetic Company Member Alex Mills) who finds a crying baby at his front door. To calm the child down, he enacts the entirety of Charles Dickens's A Tale of Two Cities – playing all the characters himself!

“We are thrilled to be moving in an exciting new direction with this production,” said Synetic Theater Artistic Director Paata Tsikurishvili. “Working with Serge is a huge step for us and he has chosen an amazing production to showcase Company Member and audience favorite Alex Mills.”

“Synetic’s dynamic creativity mirrors the innovative ecosystem that is flourishing here in Crystal City," said Crystal City BID President/CEO Angela Fox. “We are excited to see this fun summertime production play out on the Crystal City stage.”
