Crystal City (Arlington, VA) - Synetic Theater will continue their 2015/16 Season with their 12th “Wordless Shakespeare” adaptation, As You Like It. The witty and resourceful Rosalind, along with her devoted cousin Celia, are forced to flee their lives of luxury for an unfamiliar world - the bleak streets of a rusted urban wasteland. Their grim exile is transformed once Rosalind encounters the lovelorn Orlando, who fails to recognize the object of his affections in disguise!

“Powered by original music and effects, Synetic’s silent Shakespeare is anything but silent. The blend of innovative techniques and movement makes Synetic a leader in physical theater, " said Crystal City BID President/CEO Angela Fox. “As You Like It is a comedic love story that will bring people together during this holiday season.”

Synetic’s purely physical interpretation of As You Like It promises to be a thought-provoking exploration of the nature of traditional gender roles, societal class, and love with visual imagery and music that will be hard to forget. This production will not have dialogue.

Production Details

  • Dates: December 9, 2015 through January 17, 2016
  • Location: Synetic Theater, Crystal City, VA - 1800 S. Bell St., Arlington, VA 22202
  • Parking: Free parking is available in designated garages when arriving after 4 PM and on weekends.
  • Regular Run: Wednesday - Saturday, 8:00 p.m.; Sunday, 2:00 p.m.
  • Tickets: $35 and up. Student tickets start at $15. Senior citizens and military receive $5 off. Group discounts are available. Tickets are available for purchase at www.synetictheater.org
  • This production is recommended for ages 12 & up
