Spark Speed at Wednesday Night Spins

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: February 10, 2016

Spark Speed at Wednesday Night Spins

Crystal City (Arlington, VA) – Crystal City’s Wednesday Night Spins garage bicycle race series returns this March with more competition, adrenaline, and speed. Registration is now open for the popular race series hosted by the Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID) in partnership with Vornado/Charles E. Smith and Crosshairs Cycling. Due to popular demand, this year’s series includes a Women’s Open Race and a Fixed-Gear Only Finale.

With the unpredictable weather and a quiet local race calendar, March is the perfect time for pre-season training at Wednesday Night Spins. The course is fast and fun for riders of all abilities. Participants in each race category compete for weekly prizes as well as the series title by earning points each week for top finishes.

Those too timid for the saddle can still get in on the fun in the lounge which features a wine and beer garden hosted by the Washington Wine Academy with great race viewing and drinks.

Wednesday Night Spins is also partnering with Bikes for the World and includes a drop off point for donations of bikes and cycling gear. Donations help support cycling programs and transportation solutions across the globe.
