Synetic Theater Presents Taming of the Shrew

Crystal City (Arlington, VA) – Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Synetic Theater brings back one of the Bard’s best known romantic comedies, Taming of the Shrew. Starring Synetic’s award-winning Founding Choreographer and Associate Artistic Director Irina Tsikurishvili, this original “Battle of the Sexes” captures Shakespeare’s classic story with all the fiery and acrobatic motion for which Synetic is known.

Production Details

  • Dates: Runs February 15, 2017 through March 19, 2017
  • Location: Synetic Theater, Crystal City, VA - 1800 S. Bell St., Arlington, VA 22202
  • Regular Run: Wednesday - Saturday, 8:00 p.m.; Sunday, 2:00 p.m.
  • Tickets: $35 and up. Student tickets start at $15. Senior citizens and military receive $5 off. Group discounts are available. Tickets are available for purchase at www.synetictheater.org.
  • Production is wordless and will NOT have dialogue
  • Production is recommended for ages 14+ for nudity and sexual situations.

A special Synetic Teen Company production of Taming of the Shrew directed by Irina Tsikhurishvili will follow the main run from March 23 to April 1 and will coincide with the opening weekend of Artomatic’s return to Crystal City.

As a center for American Physical Theater, Synetic also offers an exciting array of classes not just for professional artists, but anyone interested in cultivating an active and creative life, appealing equally to adults, teens, and kids. Synetic’s Studio Violet in the Crystal City Art Underground hosts a series of Adult Fitness Classes, Kids Acting Classes, and spring and summer kids camps. Registration is now open for the “Pirate Island” Spring Break Camp and the “Wild and Wacky Wizarding World of Wiley Skylar” Summer Camp.
