The Lodge at National Landing Returns For Third Year of Free, Winter Festival Fun

 THE LODGE AT NATIONAL LANDING RETURNS FOR THIRD YEAR OF FREE, WINTER FESTIVAL FUN 

 On Saturday, December 6, Join the National Landing BID and Amazon at Metropolitan Park for a Day of Winter Charm, Local Flavor and Holiday Magic  

WHAT: The Lodge at National Landing is back for its third year, transforming Metropolitan Park into a ski-inspired winter festival. Presented by the National Landing Business Improvement District (BID) in partnership with Amazon, this free, family-friendly celebration welcomes guests of all ages – and four-legged friends – for a day of cozy winter charm, live entertainment and seasonal activities in Arlington.  

Shop the covered holiday vendor market, enjoy French comfort food from Bar Colline and hot drinks from the Summit Bar, snap selfies with Santa, and new this year, take part in The Lodge After Dark Holiday Karaoke Showdown. Kids and adults can ride the Holiday Train, play après ski winter games and make crafts with the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington. Furry friends can strut their stuff in the Dog Sweater Contest and indulge in the dog treat bar from District Dogs.  

National Landing’s Peppermint Mocha Latte Competition is back by popular demand; this year featuring nine local retailers: Colada Shop, Daydrift, Surreal, Commonwealth Joe, Good Company Doughnuts, Java Loco, Rossana, Surreal and Beauty Champagne and Sugar Boutique. Guests can taste the entries and vote between 1:30–2:30 p.m., with the winner announced on-site at 3 p.m. 

This year’s highlights include:  

• Holiday Vendor Market: Shop unique gifts from local vendors including Besito Chocolates, Chandra Designs, CryoCline, Pinwheel Clay and additional Made In Arlington vendors. 

• Performance Tents: Enjoy a cheerful lineup of holiday performances at the two tents on the Central Green and South Elm Street. 

• For Furry Friends: Dress your dog up for the Dog Holiday Sweater Contest (5-5:30 p.m.) to win a prize or stop by the treat bar sponsored by District Dogs.  

• Festive Crafts: Write letters to Santa, decorate wooden ornaments or build a gingerbread chalet with the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington.  
  Food & Drink: Grab a bite from on-site vendors including local favorite Bar Colline or stop by restaurants around Met Park.  

• The Lodge After Dark  

• Holiday Karaoke Showdown: Join in on a friendly karaoke competition with District Karaoke, complete with costumes, singing, spiked drinks and more (6-7 p.m.). 

• Summit Bar: Stop by the Summit Bar for winter beers, ciders, spiked hot chocolate and cocktails.

HOW: This event is FREE and open to the public. Admission is free; reservations via Eventbrite are recommended. 

In the heart of National Landing, The Lodge is easily accessible by the Pentagon City or Crystal City Metros, buses, walking or biking. Parking is also available along Crystal Drive.
