Get an exclusive peek into JD Deardourff's work, Brain Vacation, and learn about his practice. Artist talk at 2pm, followed by open studio.

In this conversation with JD Deardourff, Artist in Residence at the Innovation Studio, and MoCA Arlington Curator & Residency Program Manager, Amanda Jirón-Murphy, Deardourff will discuss his practice, and what he's working on during the 8-week residency.

"Right now, I'm onto the newest phase of an ongoing series called Brain Vacation. These collages are colorful, abstract explorations of an imagined, psychic landscape. I think of them both as escape hatches to another dimension, and also, mementos from the trip."

Talk will begin at 2pm. Open Studio will continue after the talk, from 3-5pm.
