On October 23, 2025, the AWS Skills Center Arlington—located just steps away from Amazon’s HQ2 in National Landing—will celebrate three years of empowering local learners and strengthening the region’s tech workforce. Since opening in 2022, the AWS Skills Center has become a cornerstone of Amazon’s HQ2 community investments, providing free, in-person cloud computing training to thousands of learners—no prior tech experience required.
The day kicks off with a community service project assembling hygiene kits for local families, followed by a Vision & Voices panel spotlighting partner organizations and future initiatives. The afternoon concludes with learner success stories, networking opportunities, food, refreshments, and giveaways.
This is a free, public event that brings together learners, local partners, educators, and industry leaders to celebrate how accessible tech education is helping shape the future of HQ2’s surrounding community, advancing Amazon’s broader commitment to being a good neighbor and catalyst for regional growth.
