Join us for the National Landing Community Cleanup and help keep our neighborhood looking its best!

Whether you're a long-time resident or new to National Landing, this event is a fantastic way to give back, connect with neighbors, and be part of the transformation happening in our community.

What to Expect:

  • We’ll gather at the Crystal City Water Park for a brief welcome and orientation before heading out to clean nearby streets and public spaces.
  • Volunteers will receive cleanup materials on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • You’ll have the chance to explore the neighborhood while picking up litter and making a visible impact in our community.

🎯 New This Year: Friendly Competition
We’ll be weighing collected trash using a hanging scale throughout the event. Prizes will be awarded for the top two heaviest bags. Winners will receive Open Rewards Cash vouchers to use at local businesses!

🔋 Battery Recycling Pop-Up (Hosted by National Waste & Recycling Association)
Participants are invited to bring common household batteries for safe drop-off, including:

  • Single-use batteries (AA, AAA, 9-volt, C, D)
  • Button cell batteries (watches, hearing aids, small electronics)
  • Rechargeable batteries (lithium-ion and NiCad from phones, laptops, power tools, etc.)

Please note:

  • Batteries must be removed from devices prior to drop-off
  • NWRA is not able to accept car batteries, vapes, or large-format/industrial batteries
  • Volunteers will receive a free community clean-up t-shirt (while supplies last).

Post-Cleanup Social Hour:
After the event, we invite you to stick around for some appetizers, light refreshments, and a chance to connect with fellow volunteers at Water Bar. It’s a great opportunity to celebrate your impact!

Additional Details:

• Registration is required. Please sign to help us manage equipment. By registering to volunteer you are agreeing to our Photo Release and Liability waiver.
