 YOUR APRIL ITINERARY: FREE EVENTS ACROSS NATIONAL LANDING 

The thriving urban core of Northern Virginia, National Landing hosts free events to bring the community together this April—from the Met Park Farmers Market and Alpaca Happy Hours to Cherry Blossom fun and new outdoor fitness

ARLINGTON, VA (April 1, 2026)National Landing is ushering in warmer weather with a variety of fun, free community events. From a cherry blossom-inspired celebration of art and music at the Pink in the Park event series to the return of the weekly Met Park Farmers Market and the launch of the Fit @ Potomac Yard fitness offerings, there’s no shortage of ways to get outside and enjoy spring.  

National Landing is one of the D.C. region’s most exciting transformation stories. Comprised of three distinct neighborhoods: Crystal City, Pentagon City and Potomac Yard, National Landing is home to major anchors like Amazon HQ2 and Virginia Tech, innovative start-ups, hotels, and a booming local restaurant scene.  APRIL EVENT HIGHLIGHTS 

FIT @ POTOMAC YARD: Join DC Fray + National Landing on Sundays from 2 – 3 p.m. from April 12 through May 17 for free, instructor-led classes that are sure to help you break a sweat. No experience required. Simply select the class you’re interested in from the lineup, grab your gear and get ready to work. 

  • WHEN: Every Sunday, April 12 – May 17 from 2 to 3 p.m.

PINK BEATS: Experience the best happy hour entertainment at Pink Beats, an outdoor music series on the Water Park stage featuring electronic music curated by top local DJs. New this year, the music is accompanied by whimsical visuals curated by Hoop Fairy, as dancers dressed in cherry blossom attire engage the crowd with beautiful artistry, flower giveaways, and more. Guests can kick back with spring-inspired food and drink specials available for purchase from an array of Water Park kiosks, including Spot of TeaQueen Mother’s KitchenFat FishPho Wheels, and more. 

  • WHEN: Thursday, April 2 and Thursday, April 9 from 5 to 8 p.m.  
  • WHERE: Water Park | 1601 Crystal Dr, Arlington, VA 22202. 2-minute walk to Crystal City Metro. 

ART OF PINK: Step into an after-hours celebration at Metropolitan Park, as it transforms into an indoor/outdoor art showcase. Guests can browse BLOOM, an exhibition featuring 60+ local artists featuring cherry blossom inspired artwork, enjoy Japanese and pan-Asian bites and sips from local vendors such as Fat Fish and Bar Chinois, and catch an exhilarating live paint battle with Secret Walls. The Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington’s Innovation Studio and Amazon’s HQ2 lobbies will be open as an exhibition space with art activities for guests, and DJ Joyce Lim will also be on-site with live beats. Visitors are also encouraged to visit the surrounding Met Park restaurants for cherry blossom specials, capture Instagram-worthy photos, and enjoy the nighttime atmosphere of National Landing.

COMMUNITY CLEANUP: In celebration of Earth Day, join the National Landing BID for a Community Cleanup. Whether you're a long-time resident or new to National Landing, this event is a fantastic way to give back, connect with neighbors, and be part of the transformation happening in the community. Prizes will be awarded for the top two heaviest bags. Guests should bring water, closed-toed shoes and comfy clothes. Volunteers will receive a free Community Clean-Up t-shirt as thanks for their participation. Sizes will be available on a first come, first served basis. After the event, volunteers can enjoy light refreshments at Water Park. Additionally, a Battery Recycling Pop-Up, hosted by National Waste & Recycling Association, will be onsite during the event accepting common household batteries for safe drop-off.

MORE SPRING FUN IN NATIONAL LANDING 

Met Park Farmers Market: The popular Met Park Farmers Market returns on Tuesdays and Saturdays, offering fresh, locally sourced produce from local vendors. Produced by Eat Loco, the Met Park farmers market is not just a place to shop; it’s a community experience where guests can discover the stories behind their food and connect with local farmers and artisans.  

  • WHENEvery Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  

 Every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

MoCA on the Move, Celebrating Spring Family Fun SeriesThe Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington hosts a spring family series each Sunday in Met Park with live music, lawn games, bubbles and hands-on art making activities guided by local artists. Free and open to the public.

Jeopardy Bar League Trivia at Water Park: Test your knowledge and compete with friends at Jeopardy! Bar League Trivia, the official interactive bar trivia experience inspired by America’s Favorite Quiz Show. Hosted live and designed for fast-paced fun, this weekly trivia night brings the excitement of the iconic game show into a social bar setting.

Alpaca Happy Hour at Peruvian Brothers: Peruvian Brothers brings out mini alpacas for the April happy hour series every Thursday.
