Events
Adult Learn to Ride Class – Sunday, May 3, 2026
WABA's experienced instructors break the skills down step by step to get you on a bike and rolling in no time. Participants learn to start and stop, balance, glide, pedal and steer a bike and progress at their own pace.
Community Bike Ride – Thursday, May 7, 2026
Join WABA, Bike Arlington, National Landing BID, and Conte's Bike Shop for a ride around the Arlington Loop.
Bike to Work Day – Friday, May 15, 2026
Join thousands of cyclists for this free, annual event celebrating bicycling as a fun, low-cost, healthy, and environmentally friendly way to get around. National Landing’s 2026 Bike to Work pit stop will feature complimentary coffee and bites from Call Your Mother , great bike merch giveaways, and more in one of the area’s coolest places, Water Park.
There will also be two raffle giveaways for $500 gift cards to Conte’s Bike Shop—one at 8AM and one at 9AM! Hoodies, socks, and light giveaways will also be raffled off every 15 minutes. We will be partnering with other National Landing businesses and regional advocacy groups who will be featured at National Landing’s pit stop, including:
- Conte’s Bike Shop, which will be conducting bike Safety Checks on-site
- Capitol Deejays
- People Before Cars
- Washington Area Bicyclist Association
- Virginia Railway Express (VRE) & Virginia Passenger Rail Authority
