November 2022 - Letter from Executive Director

It is a crisp and colorful autumn in National Landing and as we enter November, we give thanks to our amazing community and welcome some new businesses to the neighborhood. Come swing into fall with us!

We look forward to a busy season which kicked off this past weekend with the Marine Corps Marathon and the MCM Kids Run, which activated Long Bridge Park for the first time with a one-mile fun run.

Don’t miss the last day of our Fall Market in National Landing series this Wednesday, November 2. From jewelry and fine art to donut dog treats and giant candied apples, our eclectic lineup of vendors offer one of a kind crafted products. It is the place to treat yourself and your pup to something special, plus we are giving away bouquets from Blue Ribbon Flower Truck with proof of purchase while supplies last.

Last week we welcomed Alamo Drafthouse with a grand opening event. We are delighted to have a new state of the art theater that brings a unique entertainment and dining experience to Crystal City. To celebrate this new addition to the neighborhood, we are hosting a screening of the Black Panther sequel, Wakanda Forever on November 11. We invite our community to this event in partnership with local Blerd organizations, HBCU Con, Plus Ultra Entertainment and BlerDCon. Grace Ofori, a jewelry designer from the film, will also be in attendance!

The BID is eager to bring world-class programming and major events to Long Bridge Park including the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Having the ability to serve beer and wine at permitted special events at Long Bridge Park is critical to our success in bringing diverse entertainment options to our district. Please complete this survey to show your support.

Holiday season is coming quickly and we cannot wait for winter festivities. Keep up with all that is happening across our district by following us @nationallanding.

Best,

Tracy Sayegh Gabriel
